1. Throw away your worldly sorrow
1) Worldly sorrow brings death
(2Cor7:10) “Worldly sorrow brings death”
2) The mind centered on the flesh is death
(Rom8:6) “The mind governed by the flesh is death, but the mind governed by the Spirit is life and peace.”
(Rom8:7) “The mind governed by the flesh is hostile to God; it does not submit to God’s law, nor can it do so.”

3) Change your world-centered thoughts
• Self-centered

2. Godly sorrow
1) Repentance that leads to salvation

(Act2:38) “Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.”
2) Proving yourselves to be clear in this matter
(2Cor 7:11) “See what this godly sorrow has produced in you: what earnestness, what eagerness to clear yourselves, what indignation, what alarm, what longing, what concern, what readiness to see justice done. At every point you have proved yourselves to be clear in this matter.”
3) Being sorrowful in the sight of God
(2Cor7:12) “Therefore, although I wrote to you, I did not do it for the sake of him who had done the wrong, nor for the sake of him who suffered wrong, but that our care for you in the sight of God might appear to you.”
4) Giving encouragement and joy
(2Cor7:13) “By all this we are encouraged. In addition to our own encouragement, we were especially delighted to see how happy Titus was, because his spirit has been refreshed by all of you.”
5) Obey the Word of the evangelist

1.세상 근심을 버려라
1)세상 근심은 사망

2.하나님의 뜻대로 하는 근심
1)구원을 이루는 회개

(행2:38) “베드로가 이르되, 너희가 회개하여 각각 예수 그리스도의 이름으로 세례를 받고 죄 사함을 받으라. 그리하면 성령을 선물로 받으리니”
2)자신의 깨끗함을 나타내는 것
(고후7:11) “보라 하나님의 뜻대로 하게 한 이 근심이 너희로 얼마나 간절하게 하며, 얼마나 변명하게 하며, 얼마나 분하게 하며, 얼마나 두렵게 하며, 얼마나 사모하게 하며, 얼마나 열심있게 하며, 얼마나 벌하게 하였는가, 너희가 그 일에 대하여 일체 너희 자신의 깨끗함을 나타내었느니라”
3)하나님 앞에서 하는 근심
(고후7:12) “그런즉 내가 너희에게 쓴 것은 그 불의 행한 자를 위한 것도 아니요, 그 불의 당한 자를 위한 것도 아니요, 오직 우리를 위한 너희의 간절함이 하나님 앞에서 너희에게 나타나게 하려 함이로라”
