[Act행 16:33-34] A Happy Household 행복한 가정

33 At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his household were baptized. 34 The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole household.

33그밤그시각에간수가그들을데려다가그맞은자리를씻어주고자기와그온가족이다세례를받은후34 그들을데리고자기집에올라가서음식을차려주고그와온집안이하나님을믿으므로크게기뻐하니라

1. The household that God originally made to be happy
1) The family that God is with
(Gen1:27) man and woman are created in God’s image
(Gen2:7) man: dirt+breath=life (spiritual being)
2) The condition for happiness – covenant
(Gen2:17) the covenant of the fruit of knowledge of good and evil
3) The family that God formed
(Gen2:18) wife-helper
(Gen2:22-24) spouses-“they become one flesh”
(Matt19:4-6) God has joined together-“the two will become one flesh”
4) The fundamental reason why families fall apart
(Gen3:5) was deceived by the devil
(Gen3:6) disobeyed the Word
(Gen3:8) hid from God

2. The household that believes in the Lord Jesus
1) God desires for everyone in the family to receive salvation
(Gen7:1) “Go into the ark, you and your whole family”
(Gen7:13) “On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark”
(Act16:31) “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household”
2) Savior – only Lord Jesus Christ
(Gen3:15) “the offspring of woman will crush your head,”
(Matt1:21) Jesus-Savior
(Matt1:23) Immanuel
(Matt16:16) Jesus-Lord, Christ, son of God
(Rom10:10) salvation-believe in your heart, confess with your mouth
3) The household that has restored salvation
(Act16:33) all his household were baptized
(Act16:34) he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole household

3. Hold onto the covenant of saving your household and pray
1) Cornelius’s prayer
(Act10:1-2) “At Caesarea there was a man named Cornelius, a centurion in what was known as the Italian Regiment. He and all his family were devout and God-fearing; he gave generously to those in need and prayed to God regularly”
(Act10:24) “Cornelius was expecting them and had called together his relatives and close friends”
2) Lydia’s prayer
(Act16:14) Lydia was a worshiper of God
(Act16:15) “When she and the members of her household were baptized, she invited us to her home. “If you consider me a believer in the Lord,” she said, “come and stay at my house.” And she persuaded us.”

(창7:13) “그 날에 노아와 그의 아들 셈, 함, 야벳과 노아의 처와 세 자부가 다 방주로 들어갔고”
(행16:31) “주 예수 그리스도를 믿으라. 그리하면 너와 네 집이 구원을 얻으리라”
2)구원자 – 오직 주 예수 그리스도
(창3:15) “여자의 후손이 네 머리을 상하게 하시리라”
(마1:21) 예수-구원자

3)구원이 회복된 가정
(행16:33) 온 가족이 세례 받음

3.가정 구원을 위한 언약을 붙잡고 기도하라

(행10:1-2) “가이사랴에 고넬료: 그가 경건하여 온 집으로 더불어 하나님을 경외하며 백성을 많이 구제하고 하나님께 항상 기도하더니”
