1 About that time Herod the king laid violent hands on some who belonged to the church.
2 He killed James the brother of John with the sword,
3 and when he saw that it pleased the Jews, he proceeded to arrest Peter also. This was during the days of Unleavened Bread.
4 And when he had seized him, he put him in prison, delivering him over to four squads of soldiers to guard him, intending after the Passover to bring him out to the people.
5 So Peter was kept in prison, but earnest prayer for him was made to God by the church.
6 Now when Herod was about to bring him out, on that very night, Peter was sleeping between two soldiers, bound with two chains, and sentries before the door were guarding the prison.
7 And behold, an angel of the Lord stood next to him, and a light shone in the cell. He struck Peter on the side and woke him, saying, “Get up quickly.” And the chains fell off his hands.
8 And the angel said to him, “Dress yourself and put on your sandals.” And he did so. And he said to him, “Wrap your cloak around you and follow me.”
9 And he went out and followed him. He did not know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision.
10 When they had passed the first and the second guard, they came to the iron gate leading into the city. It opened for them of its own accord, and they went out and went along one street, and immediately the angel left him. Acts 12:1-101그 때에 헤롯 왕이 손을 들어 교회 중에서 몇 사람을 해하려 하여

7홀연히 주의 사자가 나타나매 옥중에 광채가 빛나며 또 베드로의 옆구리를 쳐 깨워 이르되 급히 일어나라 하니 쇠사슬이 그 손에서 벗어지더라
8천사가 이르되 띠를 띠고 신을 신으라 하거늘 베드로가 그대로 하니 천사가 또 이르되 겉옷을 입고 따라오라 한대
9베드로가 나와서 따라갈새 천사가 하는 것이 생시인 줄 알지 못하고 환상을 보는가 하니라
10이에 첫째와 둘째 파수를 지나 시내로 통한 쇠문에 이르니 문이 저절로 열리는지라 나와서 한 거리를 지나매 천사가 곧 떠나더라

God Who Opened the Closed Door (Acts 12:1-10)
“So Peter was kept in prison, but the church was earnestly praying to God for him”(5)
1. Believe that God is alive and working
1) God’s absolute sovereignty
(1Chron29:11) Yours, Lord, is the greatness and the power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is yours. Yours, Lord, is the kingdom; you are exalted as head over all
(1Sam2:10) Those who oppose the Lord will be broken. The Most High will thunder from heaven; the Lord will judge the ends of the earth. “He will give strength to his king and exalt the horn of his anointed.”
2) God who knows my everything
(Ps139:1-4) You have searched me, Lord, and you know me. You know when I sit and when I rise; you perceive my thoughts from afar. You discern my going out and my lying down; you are familiar with all my ways. Before a word is on my tongue you, Lord, know it completely
3) God who fights for our behalf
(Ex14:14) “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still”
2. Experience the power of prayer
1) The early church’s united prayer

2) Daniel’s scheduled prayer
(Dan6:10) Now when Daniel learned that the decree had been published, he went home to his upstairs room where the windows opened toward Jerusalem. Three times a day he got down on his knees and prayed, giving thanks to his God, just as he had done before

(2King6:17) “And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.”

3) Breaking down of forces of darkness
(Matt12:28-29) But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you. Or again, how can anyone enter a strong man’s house and carry off his possessions unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can plunder his house
(Luke10:19) I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you

1.하나님이 살아서 역사하심을 믿으라
1)하나님의 절대주권
(대상29:11) 여호와여 광대하심과 권능과 영광과 이김과 위엄이 다 주께 속하였사오니 천지에 있는 것이 다 주의 것이로소이다 여호와여 주권도 주께 속하였사오니 주는 높으사 만유의 머리심이니이다
